On a sun-drenched Saturday at Barnet Lane, Holloway Gaels delivered a determined and spirited performance to secure the 2025 Mary Feehan Cup, overcoming a familiar rival, TCG, in a hard-fought final.
This was the fourth meeting between the sides this season—and the third in just three weeks. Holloway triumphed in a replay of the 2024 Mary Feehan Cup at Greenford on May 21st, after the original game had ended in a draw last June. Just two weeks later, they returned to Greenford for a group stage clash, narrowly losing out to TCG by a single point after a strong display. Despite that defeat, Holloway’s impressive win against Wandsworth Gaels in Round 1 and superior score difference were enough to earn them a spot in the final. TCG, unbeaten in the group stages, came in as strong contenders—but Holloway Gaels rose to the challenge.
The final was far from one-sided, with both teams battling fiercely throughout. However, it was Holloway who proved stronger on the day, with the scoreboard perhaps not fully reflecting the competitive nature of the match.
Intermediate Club Captain Emma Mulhern had the honour of lifting the Mary Feehan Cup, adding another trophy to the cabinet following this year’s League Cup win.
