Holloway Gaels Juniors into Semi-Finals with Two Wins from Two

Holloway Gaels team who overcame Dulwich Harps in round 2 of the Championship

Holloway Gaels Juniors have made an impressive start to their 2025 Championship campaign, recording back-to-back victories in the London LGFA Junior Championship group stage to secure a spot in the semi-finals.

Their opening match saw them take on Fr. Murphy’s at Tottenhall Recreation Grounds on Wednesday, 25th June. A composed and clinical performance saw Holloway emerge victorious with a score line of 2-10 to 0-08.

The Gaels followed up with a second win on Wednesday, 9th July, travelling south to face Dulwich Harps in Mitcham. In a fiercely contested game, Holloway trailed at halftime but produced a spirited second-half comeback. A blend of grit, teamwork and sharp finishing powered them to a 6-08 to 3-14 win, with Manager Shane Hanrahan and club management assistant Emily de Caires leading from the side lines.

With two wins from two, Holloway Gaels Juniors now advance to the semi-finals on July 26th. They await confirmation of their opponents from a competitive group that includes St. Kiernan's, Wandsworth Gaels, Parnells and Tara.
