The Ann Dunning Tournament 2017

A wonderful day was had in Greenford on the 11th March 2017. A huge thank you to the KKG, Fr. Murphy's. St. Marys and Tara's teams who always come along to help remember Ann. HG also showed great respect for the work Ann had done for our club and arrived in their numbers to enter two teams on the day. After all teams competing in tough, enjoyable and fiercely competitive games, the final was eventually contested by St. Marys of Reading and the believed-to-be-weaker, Holloway Gaels team After a tight first half, St. Marys began to push on and show their fitness with a flurry of goals which Holloway had no answer for. In the end St Mary's ran home comfortable and deserving winners. For the first time ever the tournament invited underage teams to also take part which is something we believe 'Stunning Dunning' would of been immensely proud of. Hopefully this shows the progress ladies football is having in London and a huge thank you to those who continue to advertise and work with the gaelic4girls programs.
