Holloway Gaels 3-15
Wandsworth Gaels 1-01
On a sunny Saturday at Barnet Lane, Holloway Gaels delivered a strong performance to secure the 2026 Mary Feehan Cup for the third year in a row, overcoming Wandsworth Gaels in a hard-fought final.
This was just the second meeting between the sides this season, with the first game being in round two of the league on March 21st. Holloway triumphed in that fixture but knew the task would not be easy going into the cup final. Wandsworth had secured very impressive wins and score-lines in their two qualifying games for the final and Holloway knew they would need to dig deep if they were to retain the cup . Holloways route to the final saw them take on TCG in Round 1 - the team Holloway took on in the finals in 2024 and 2025, but the draw this year saw both teams in the same side of the knock-out competition. Played on May 13th in Greenford, it was as always a tense affair, but Holloway proved stronger on the night, running out with a 5 point win. Next up was St. Kiernan's on May 30th, with Holloway securing a strong win against the newly promoted Intermediate side.
The final was far from one-sided, with both teams battling fiercely throughout. However, it was Holloway who proved stronger on the day.
Intermediate Club Captain Emma Mulhern had the honour of lifting the Mary Feehan Cup, adding another trophy to the Holloway Gaels cabinet following this year’s Junior League Cup win.
Congratulations to all players, coaches, and supporters!
